Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Complete refund minus any administrative charges

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Processing Fee: €50 for transactions made by credit card

Conditions: Must be requested in a written format through email or over the phone

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half of the total cost of the charter

Processing Time: 7-10 business days

Processing Fee: €25 taken from the refund amount

Conditions: A valid reason must be provided; fees for administrative costs may apply

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: No returns are available

Exception: Situations viewed as emergencies may be taken into consideration

Alternative: A credit for chartering may be extended at the discretion of our management

Conditions: Emergency situations require supporting documents

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Your safety remains our utmost concern. Should weather conditions be deemed unsuitable for charter activities by our certified captain, we will provide flexible alternatives:

  • Full Refund: Issued if adjusting the schedule is impractical
  • Reschedule: Change the date of your charter to another available slot without additional cost
  • Charter Credit: Issue a credit that's valid for 12 months from the initial charter date

Assessment of Weather Conditions

Our assessment of the weather encompasses:

  • Evaluation of wind speed and direction
  • Analysis of sea conditions and wave height
  • Predictions for visibility and precipitation
  • Notices and advisories from the Coast Guard
  • Judgement on safety from our professional captain

Decision Timeline: Decisions regarding weather cancellations are made at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure.

Refunds Due to Medical Emergencies

Qualifying Emergency Situations

We sympathize with the unforeseen nature of medical crises. The following are situations that might qualify for exceptional refund considerations:

  • Unexpected illness or injury demanding hospitalization
  • Death within the immediate family
  • Emergency military deployment or recall
  • Summons for jury service or court orders
  • Travel disruptions caused by natural catastrophes

Requirements for Documentation

For emergency refund requests, the below documents are necessary:

  • Medical certificates or hospital paperwork
  • Death certificates, where applicable
  • Military deployment orders
  • Official court summonses or notices for jury duty
  • Emergency declarations or travel warnings

Processing: We process emergency refund requests within 3-5 business days once we receive the appropriate documentation.

Cancellations Due to Operational Factors

Equipment Malfunctions

Should your designated yacht encounter mechanical issues that are not promptly resolvable:

  • Alternate Vessel: We will aim to provide a yacht of comparable specification
  • Entire Refund: If we cannot offer a suitable alternative
  • Partial Refund: In the case where the replacement vessel features dissimilar pricing
  • Compensation: Additional recompense might be considered for any inconvenience caused

Unavailable Crew

On rare occasions when our certified crew is not available:

  • Efforts to arrange an alternative crew will be made where feasible
  • Entire refund is provided if the charter cannot proceed
  • Option to reschedule at no extra cost

Procedures for Refund Processing

Methods for Payment Reversal

Returned funds will be processed using the same mode of payment as the original transaction:

  • Credit Cards: Credited back within 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days required for processing
  • Cash/Cheques: Process completion occurs in 3-5 business days

Fees Associated with Processing

Credit Card Handling

A €50 charge applies for cancellations that occur over 72 hours in advance

Processing for Bank Transfers

A €25 charge applies to all reimbursements done via bank transfer

International Transactions

Additional charges may be applied for international transactions

Credits in Place of Refunds

Scenarios for Credit Issuance

Credits may be presented in lieu of a repayment under certain conditions:

  • Short-notice cancellations (less than 24 hours before the charter)
  • Cancellations due to weather-related issues
  • Voluntary requests to reschedule
  • Disruptions that are operational in nature

Conditions Governing Credits

  • Validity Period: Credits are valid for one year from the date of issue
  • Non-transferability: Credits cannot be transferred to other individuals
  • Value: Reflects the full amount of the charter without any administrative fees deducted
  • Usage: Applicable towards any future charter with available slots
  • Expiration: Credits must be utilized within 12 months, with no extensions granted

Refunds for Partially Used Services

Disruptions in Service

If your yacht journey is interrupted or abbreviated due to factors we can control:

  • Reimbursements will be prorated based on the charter time not utilized
  • Credit issued for a future charter equal in value
  • Services complimentary or upgrades may be offered as compensation

Interruptions Caused by Guests

If a charter is prematurely ended due to actions or safety breaches by guests:

  • No return for the unused portion

  • Full payment is still due
  • Potential for extra charges

Resolving Disputes over Refunds

If you object to a decision on a refund, you have the right to:

  • Request our management team to reassess
  • Submit further documentation or proof
  • Seek resolution via consumer protection organizations
  • Consider legal recourse in accordance with the law

Make sure to provide the following with your refund application:

  • Your confirmation number for the booking
  • Date and time of the charter

  • Cancellation reason

  • Any relevant documents for support (if necessary)
  • Your preferential method for the refund

Step 3: Assessment and Execution

Upon receiving your refund application, we will send an acknowledgement within a day, evaluate it in accordance with our policy, offer a conclusion in 48 hours, and manage approved refunds as per the specified timeframes.

  • Written applications are required for all refund requests
  • Refunds are delivered in €, which may differ from the currency used for payment
  • We strongly advise purchasing travel insurance
  • Changes may be made to this policy given a 30 days' notice
  • Issued refunds are subject to relevant taxes and regulations
